This nomination highlights the commitment and innovation present within the Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust’s Maternity Intelligent Automation Transformation Programme.
“I had the pleasure of joining the dedicated team members—Alison Werfalli, Josh Clift, and Charlotte Taphouse—at the NHS Parliamentary Awards ceremony. Their nomination for the Nursing and Midwifery Award stems from their pioneering ‘digital first’ approach, which has significantly transformed maternity services in the region. This innovative program has not only enhanced the experience for families but has also delivered tangible benefits to the staff working in these vital services.
The NHS Parliamentary Awards serve as an important platform to honor the unwavering dedication of NHS staff, carers, and volunteers who tirelessly support our communities during times of need.”
Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, said:
“The greatest asset the NHS has is the people who work in it.
“From the heroic first responders in Southport, to the staff who battle a broken system to save patients’ lives, we owe them an enormous debt we can never repay.
“Despite the challenges, every day there are frontline staff showing us that change is possible, that things can get better. They are the trailblazers who will lead the way to a brighter future and it’s a pleasure to be able to honour them properly.”
The award and nomination received by our local Portsmouth teams serve as a small acknowledgment of the amazing work our they perform everyday.
